    I am wife and mother of 2 lovely girls, one is 4, the other is 8. I work full time as a elementary music teacher. I love to teach music but wish I didn't have to work full time so that I could spend more time with my kids. My family is a loving but difficult one to handle at times. I'm just trying to find the right balance between work and home without going crazy!

Here's a great idea. If the kids get out of line, make them do solfiege. Pick a really hard key (a flat minor works). Then make them take out a hymn and break it down chord by chord (you know, I, IV, V7, I) and name the type of cadence (plagal, authentic, perfect authentic or imperfect authentic).

It does seem we have alot in common. I love to read romance novels, I have 2 boys ages 4 & 6 (not far off from your girls ages), I enjoy doing cross stitch, I dont work anymore, due to a back injury.
